The Secret Garden

I had some beads left from the Bead Soup Blog Party and I wanted to make something with the beads that I blogged about here.  So I had some fiber wrapped cords in green and tan that were twisted together that seemed like they might just match all the beads I had... so I kept adding pieces here and there and here and there and.... this is what I ended up with!

Here-there-and everywhere!

I have decided that my style is eclectic... I love colors and textures and to make things that people want to touch.  This piece has so many different elements to it.  Here are some close ups.

Everything from stones to glass beads to copper charms all mixed together with polymer beads... so fun!

So it is for sale in my Ms Place Art Fire Shop... check it out here!

Thanks for stopping by!
Yours truly,
M

  1. Beautiful, that green fiber looks like lush, spring grass! And I love the large copper circle with the dangles.

  5. Wow it looks like a cottage garden. Flowers meandering all over the place as natural art from God. I have been thinking about you lately and so I stopped to see what you have been up to. I am working on a new creation. Trying to get several together and maybe submit to a magazine. I also am going to be doing one in yellow and turquoise. Can't wait to get it out of my head and created. I am waiting to get some size 4 glass pearls. Alice

  6. That's an amazing piece there, Marian! One of my favorites! I love your leafy beads and the flowers. I also love the asymmetry; like someone else mentioned, it makes it feel much more organic and beautiful. Loving the color scheme as well. :)

  7. I really like how you've used fiber in this necklace. And the asymmetry really adds something. As said before, it emphasizes the organic style with the beads and the soft wrapped cords. Beautiful!
